THE BEAUTY OF TRUE WORSHIP
JOHN 4:20-24
Key Verse: "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24).
Worship is an act of respect given to someone who is higher than us. The act of worship shows how much we believe in the One we worship. So many people only worship God because He meets their needs and not because they appreciate Him. To truly worship God is to worship Him because He is God and not because of what you desire to get from Him.
God is not a man. He is a Spirit. That is why He wants our worship to be in spirit and in truth. You cannot deceive God. He sees your heart and knows what you think. If you worship God with a heart that is defiled with idols and sin, it will not be acceptable unto Him.
When your heart is holy and you worship God with your whole heart regardless of your present situation, your worship will be acceptable unto God. True worship gives honour and glory to God, and attracts greater and abundant blessings into our lives.
Give unto the Lord, the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Worship and honour God from the depth of your heart.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I worship and give glory unto You.
